ZADYMKA’S ZOO – We are a very small hobby rabbitry located 10 miles north of Boston.
In conjunction with Grand Orchard Rabbitry, we breed and raise New
Zealand Whites and Lionheads for show.
At this time “The Zoo” is concentrating on breeding and showing Lionheads
in the tortoise and black colors to the current Working Standard.
ABOUT US – We are Gordon and Christina Hubbard.
Gordie is an old-time Boy Scout born and raised in a suburb near Boston.
By day he’s a shipping manager for a printing company, but after work
hours you can find him fishing, camping, growing the biggest heads of cabbage
possible in his vegetable garden, helping me can or freeze the fruits (and
vegetables) of his labors, or cooking the gourmet dinners that have helped me
outgrow my favorite pair of jeans.
I’m a country girl raised in what used to be the Boonies of Northeast
Massachusetts. By day I do billing
for a data distribution company.
When I’m not at work I can be found playing with the bunnies, puttering around
the yard, cleaning the kitchen, playing a MUD game called Fed 2, and shooing
Mara off the sofa. (What IS it with
rabbits and their insistence on perching on the back of the sofa???)
We try to go to at least one local show a month.
To date we’ve gone to shows in Maine,
Vermont, and Massachusetts.
